		<description>@Melissa - thanks for your comment.  Good call, the tide is turning on negative effects of running as far as joints are concerned, general consensus is that if you have good form and no previous injuries then you should be fine.  

Don&#039;t forget you can&#039;t ignore gravity though, and general wear and tear happens to our bodies throughout our lives regardless of running or not.  I still think (no references, just my own theory) that it is damaging in the long run.

Personally I prefer sprinting on more natural services (i.e. not concrete) instead of long runs.  It saves time and I personally find it more effective than doing things like running, swimming or skipping rope.</description>
