As I sat in the bus on the way to work this morning I saw a guy out doing his morning run. He was noticeably overweight but I could sense he also meant business by the way he was running. It obviously wasn’t the first time he’d run, nor would it be the last.
The sad thing is that I really doubt he will lose the body fat he is wanting to shed - and not for lack of trying. I could clearly see he was determined to make a go of it what I also noticed however, was the plethora of bakeries, cafes, dairies, gas stations and advertising billboards which he was running past and around. He is living in middle of a society that has ate terribly for decades. Preservatives, refined sugar, transaturated fats, lack of green vegetables and fruits, the odds are severely stacked against us.
Our health, not just our looks are at stake
I (along with Mckenna) started this blog to help people. Not just help people lose weight, or get bigger muscles, but to help people change the way they live. So that 10 years from now we will be enjoying a lifestyle that not only causes us to look better, but to feel better as well.
Not only will people (like that man I saw running this morning) start looking the way they want to look, but they will they will experience other intrinsic benefits too. Do you want more energy? Do you want to have longer endurance? Do you want to live longer? Believe it or not but these are all wonderful side effects of changing your lifestyle - changing the way you live.
It may be possible, but don’t kid yourself, living healthy in western society is not easy.
Free from all the jargon and complexity that is often associated with ‘expert fitness advice’. This blog will only contain articles which are simple to understand and straight forward to follow. That’s the way I would want to read content, so I trust that is what you want too.
If you ever read something you don’t understand, please feel free to ask a question. I am more than willing to help.
So to go back to the reason for writing this post, this blog exists to help everyone who has tried and failed to make a change to their bodies through fitness. It is possible, and I highly recommend you following this blog as I seek to prove it to you!
All the best to your fitness success!
Elliot
