I am definitely feeling the effects of working out all week and the run yesterday! And I feel terrible about the amount of food I consumed. I just realized I should have entered my ’statistics’. At the moment my weight is around the 60 kilo mark – about 132 pounds. At night that is. By morning, my metabolism works it off so I’m around 58 kilos – about 127 pounds. So I would say I weigh 59 kilos – 129.8 pounds. I’m not actually on a mission to lose weight as such – more to lose fat and gain muscle so I like what I see in the mirror again. Earlier I mentioned that I have gained a lot in the past five months, but I do think some of that can be attributed to muscle gain as my previous job was quite physical.
Anyway – I’m not going to get very far if I eat like I did yesterday!
I started the day with – a smoothie again! The contents were similar to what I’ve had all week. What I generally do is buy fruit and vegetables once a week and if I need to I top up. So I buy what is on special and use that fruit during the week. Sometimes I buy a whole box of seconds and use it for smoothies, sauces, etc. It seems to work quite well – especially if the fruit on special changes from week to week!
I snacked during the day on some nuts, a Nashi pear, a mandarin – just small pieces of fruit – and a recovery protein shake after my workout. Dinner was a small portion of steamed broccoli and carrots, a cabbage salad and a sweet’n’sour sauce with rice. Not my favorite but when it is made and served for you – generally we don’t complain! Everyone was having apple strudel for dessert so I had a couple of pieces of baguette with honey.
So my diet isn’t too crash hot at the moment – but sometimes you can’t change that. Its never going to be perfect but I think I can try a little harder.
I had a workout today – hardest yet of the week. I know I said day two was hard – but it was hard to start it today. But I thought of my commitment to you and just had to push through it. So, thank you!
